Account Manager

Account Manager / Business Development

One of our three core businesses at Municode is providing municipalities with the latest technology in utility billing solutions.  We have hundreds of local government clients serving millions of resident throughout the southeast. In 2017, we are expanding our sales and marketing efforts to exponentially grow this portion of our client base. To help us make this happen, we are looking for a sales professional to handle all aspects of the account management process, including prospecting, needs analysis, product demonstrations, proposal generation and contract negotiation.

What you will do:

  • Make outbound prospecting and follow-up calls to new and existing customers
  • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
  • Execute the preparation and presentation of sales proposals
  • Overcome objections and close sales
  • Maintain working knowledge of industry market trends
  • Maintain expert knowledge of company product/service features and benefits
  • Establish networking relationships within the industry to identify new sales opportunities
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database
  • Active participation in weekly sales meetings
  • Update and track activity in CRM
  • Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events
  • Attend periodic sales training where applicable
  • Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position

What you will bring to the table:

  • University or college degree or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Sales experience
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills
  • Understands how to plan and organize each day to maximize performance
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
  • Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits
